@circlesarecrazy That will only work if you plan on quitting at life after high school. If you are taking in science classes in college, you need to learn to do it algebraically. Eventually you will be handling several conversions at a time, and using derivatives to solve equations with units in them, and use them for dimensional analysis.

@SyrusFox The ballasts require a power source...what would you recommend in place of the battery (hint: battery is the correct answer in most cases). The lights will not drain the battery. Why you might ask...this is the purpose of the relay. When it senses a closed circuit from the factory harness, it triggers a closed circuit for the battery to the ballasts to power the HID's.

for it to work, I think it would need two tanks, a smaller combustion chamber to inject air and fuel into, then a larger tank to store that pressure created from the explosion. It may need a blower to fill the chamber with air, perhaps something like a small vacuum cleaner with exhaust hose.This may sound weird, but I think it can work, the idea is to get around the time it takes to create the pressure. Explosion is much faster than heating water, or pumping air into a tank. Time is the problem.

a billion dollar idea: it take time to create pressure in the tank, whether steam or air. Why not inject fuel into the boiler tank, then spark it to explode that fuel to create instant pressure stored in the tank. By injecting/sparking fuel into the boiler tank,it would not take that time to build up pressure. I would think this is far more efficient use of fuel too, since a limiter would inject fuel on demand. I would think a steam boiler would be easy to convert. Will it work?

Really nice. But, notice how fast it decelerates when you remove the reed switch? There's still a compression stroke and that detracts from efficiency. Keep an eye on my 4-stroke to 2-stroke conversion project. It will have virtually no intake stroke, a power stroke and an exhaust stroke that's pretty much free wheeling, powered by hydrogen injected under mild pressure during the 15* or so that the intake valve opens. it would be even more efficient if you caught the exhaust air and returned it into a compressor inlet, you would do that by replacing the exhaust box and making it air tight. then run a return line into a small compressor and then set up the inlet like you have it set up now, then wallah you have a self sufficient engine.

What if, by using a fresnel lens, you channel the light just off the focal point into a straight beam. I was thinking of taking that beam down a solar chimney of a sort to use for indoor cooking. if the diameter of the parabolic mirror is 5m(16.4ft), can i then take that light channeled down, and split it into 4 parts and still have enough light to heat 4 stoves?(The stoves using either the solar cooker method or fresnel lenses reflected up onto a large pan). *the chimney = 5m height max.

The big hidden cost for electric bikes is not the fuel, its the fuel cells, aka, batteries. Which have to be replaced every so many years as they do not last forever. The the more efficient and effective they are for vehicle power storage the more super expensive they are. And they are made of chemicals, frequently very toxic chemicals, so the real emissions and environmental impact from electric vehicles are the improper disposal of these spent toxic chemical batteries.

Rather The emissions can be pointed to solely the construction of them. Relatively a one time thing. So in the case that you have clean power plants in your area, this makes an even more significant difference in total emissions. I would not consider electric vehicles that is being powered by coal power plants better than gas/diesel powered vehicles in efficiency.

Nice video and well explained. For your next electric motorcycle, I recommend Lithium Iron sulphate batteries. They may be more expensive but they last a lot longer than lead acid batteries and are about 1/3 the weight for the same power.

This was a FACTORY CONVERSION. Station pressure determines how much gas you'll get. This guy is only half correct in what he is saying. There is no high pressure valve in the lines. Directly below the tank outside of the car is a high pressure regulator. There is also a low pressure regulator and that's on top of the engine (the round thing). The rectangle box regulates flow of gas. But there are other components he fails to mention because he thinks he's an expert. Typical Utah.

does this carb only adjust air flow? if so, then its not a true carb and it will Flood the engine after long periods of low idle. i've fitted one of my 0.49's with something simular, but had to remove it due to this problem. the needle and carb must work together.

Good Idea !! Does it work at low RPM without the wires attached to the glow plug ?. If it doesn´t try usin a sleeve as restrictor for the exhaust gases to keep the temperature.
